When serious accidents happen, Meals on Wheels is there. My mother received Meals on Wheels because she really needed them, and now I know that I really need them. I appreciate them so much. I have always been called the "hugging lady” but the Meals on Wheels volunteers give the best hugs. I need them and they are there.

Thank you, thank you for what you are doing to help Meals on Wheels and to help me. I have had diabetes for a long time and I have forgotten how to cook my food the right way. Meals on Wheels comes every day just the way I need. If they didn’t, I don’t know what I would do. Everyone is always so nice to me, some hug me. It’s wonderful. They care and have conversations with me, even taking time from work. I’m so grateful. I really am. Some people say I love you, but Meals on Wheels shows it.

"My favorite part is looking at those smiling faces of the volunteers."
My eyesight has faded and I can no longer drive. I don’t know what I would do without Meals on Wheels. It is a well-balanced meal, always warm and pleasant to eat, but my favorite part is looking at those smiling faces of the volunteers. I love them all. Even when it’s a rainy day I still see them at my door. I am most grateful for those wonderful volunteers.

I have been blessed by the volunteers coming each week. Several have been special to me as I have gotten to know them. They are so kind and helpful. Sometimes they even take my trash to the trash cans for me. One of the volunteers surprised me by bringing me a box of candy at Christmas time! Thanks for all you do.
